The best places to work in the UK have been ranked, with three out of the top five big companies in the information technology sector.
Great Places To Work released their UK’s Best Workplace: Large Category list yesterday, with Softcat taking out the top slot, followed by McDonalds, Salesforce, Cisco UK and Capital One.
The list is compiled using information gleaned in a trust index employee survey, and via a culture audit.
Phil Smith, Chief Executive of Cisco UK and Ireland told HR Grapevine being included on the list was an honour.
“People are at the centre of Cisco and we pride ourselves on our culture of innovation, creativity and our commitment to great internal programmes like Connect Everything, Innovate Everywhere, Benefit Everyone,” he said.
“We are truly honoured to have been included in the Best Place to Work ranking again.”
The inclusion is the result of an unique approach to employment the company takes, Smith said.
“It is a reflection of the partnership we form with our employees and our drive to go beyond reward schemes, recognition awards, flexible work practices, but to delivering a culture that inspires,” he said.
“This ranking is a testament to everyone that works at Cisco and we will continue to better ourselves and the business as a whole in the coming 12 months.”
